Types of dementia care
Whatever type of dementia care you need, the level of service will be bespoke to your personal requirements.
Some of our residents simply require help from day to day, while others appreciate a little extra assistance. Everything we do is tailored to the individual needs of each person. We make sure that we know as much as possible about our residents’ lives, including hobbies, interests and preferences. Along with their medical history and personal requirements, this valuable information makes up their own personalised and detailed care plan. This means that every member of our team gets to know the person as an individual and we can then plan their care exactly to their individual needs. We also constantly review and revisit every care plan to make sure we get it right every time. This means that you can be assured that your loved one is receiving the highest quality of dementia care when they need it.
Expert dementia care team
We recruit and retain the very best people who complete on-going training and development to ensure that they continue to deliver market-leading dementia care based on best practice, and our team is also supported to complete a diploma in health and social care. This gives our team confidence and the incentive to improve, which in turn gives confidence to our residents and their families that the care they receive is of the very highest standard.
We work closely with a wealth of community and clinical professionals to ensure our residents’ care needs are met. This means that our residents should never find themselves in a situation where we are unable to care for them if their needs change. We’re there to review what they need so they can continue living their lives feeling safe and contented. We provide low, medium, and high-dependency residential dementia care for residents, which includes administering medication. Residents can transition easily as their needs change, making our Waltham Abbey care home a happy place in which to spend their later years.
As one resident’s family told us – “We are amazed and delighted at how well Mum has settled into Honey Lane as she is much more stimulated than when she was living alone. We only wish we had done this earlier.”
