To commemorate ๐ŸŒŸ The Queens Platinum Jubilee ๐ŸŒŸ, we were joined by Epping Forest District Councils Mayor, Councillor Jeane Lea, to plant a Copper Beech tree ๐ŸŒณ - as part of The Queens Green Canopy project.
This is a wonderful way to mark Her Majestys Platinum Jubilee ๐Ÿ‘ธ and its a lovely memory that will last forever in our home, as we are able to watch the tree grow ๐ŸŒฟ, says our resident Betty (aged 96), who was appointed Queen of Honey Lane for the ceremony โ˜บ๏ธ.
Marta, home manager here at our dementia care home in Waltham Abbey, Essex, adds, Our residents have all been very engaged in the choosing of the tree and excited about the planting ceremony ๐Ÿก. It will be a permanent and very beautiful reminder โค๏ธ of The Queen ๐Ÿ‘‘ and her incredible achievements.โ€
A time capsule, put together by residents, was also buried beside the sapling, containing a daily newspaper ๐Ÿ—ž, Jubilee memorabilia, and photos from our recent Jubilee street party ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง!
