Jacky Fitzpatrick has worked in healthcare for more than 30 years, having started her career as a nursing home carer. In the intervening years, Jacky has gained a wealth of experience working with and then managing teams caring for older people with dementia, as well as people living with acquired and traumatic brain injury.
Jacky has been part of the Carebase family for ten years, having joined Honey Lane in 2011 as Deputy Manager, before going on to manage other homes in the group providing compassionate dementia care. During this time, Jacky has successfully overseen four unannounced CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspections resulting in a Good outcome.
Speaking about returning to Honey Lane, Jacky says: “I feel very lucky to do a job I love, working alongside others who are passionate about dementia care. It is an honour to care for our residents and their families and I look forward to getting to know everyone.”
Jacky holds a Registered Manager Award and a Level 5 diploma in Managing in Health and Social Care Settings, as well as numerous training certificates including a Level 3 diploma PTLLS.
In addition, Jacky’s professional training with the Alzheimer’s Society means she is accredited to train others in the field of dementia care, something she is committed to continuing at Honey Lane.
When she’s not at Honey Lane, Jacky gets to care for her ever-growing family; her husband, five children, two grandchildren and rescue cat Molly! As a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur supporter, Jacky is passionate about sport and also keenly follows the local Kent Cricket club as well as international cricket.
