Join us in congratulating our Lifestyle guru Lisa in scooping a coveted care sector award! It might not feel like work but our incredible Lifestyle lead Lisa Gamilliere has really pulled it out of the bag this year and her hard ‘work’ – arranging life affirming experiences and events for all of our lovely residents – has led to us scooping the prestigious Essex Care Sector Prospers Awards 2023 for ‘Making a Difference’.

Whether it’s reuniting a war veteran with a spitfire as was the case for our Ted in March, or arranging for a new resident to bring his lifelong companion, Tommy the tortoise, to come and live with him, Lisa has it covered.

Here at Honey Lane Care Home in Waltham Abbey we look after 38 residents and are dedicated to providing a bespoke and meaningful activities programme for each and everyone – where residents can do as much or as little as they like, we are here to support them in making independent decisions to ensure everyone is living their best life.

Nothing is too much trouble for Lisa and when she is not busy arranging the next adventure, days out at the seaside or taking someone back to visit their childhood home, she is running our popular stay and play sessions with local under-5s and their carers.
